MaptiveIQ - Customizing Metrics

There are multiple tools where you will have the option of customizing the metrics shown in the right side menu. These tools include the Boundaries, Territories, Radius, and Drive Time Polygons Tools. All of these have the option to Customize Metrics.

Step 1: Put boundaries, drawn territory, radius or drive time polygon on your map. Click on any of the links to access that tool's tutorial.

Step 2: Click on a boundary, a drawn territory, a radius or a drive time polygon to open the pop-out.

Step 3: Click Customize Metrics in your pop-out.

You will see the following dialog box open

Choice 1: Spreadsheet data - Allows you to customize the metrics using your data.

Choice 1A: This pull down menu will show you all the column headers in your data

Choice 1B: You will be able to choose Sum (total), Average, High Value, Low Value for any of your numeric data. You will also have Group Count as an option to show a list of any of your column's data.

Choice 2: Demographic Data - Allows you to show demographic data from the US or Canada, more on that below.

Choice 2: Allows customization of the demographic information you can see in the pop-out.

Choice 2A: Choose your Region. Currently United States and Canada are available.

Choice 2B: Choose your demographic group. Demographic groups are based on U.S. Census or Canada Census.

Choice 2C: Select the demographic you want to show from the group you chose in 2B.

For each you choose, click Add to Proximity Details to add it to the pop-out. You can add as much as you want. Once finished, simply close the dialog box and check out your new pop-out.

Customizing the metrics in one radius, drive time polygon, boundary or territory will update the metrics in all instances within that tool. However each tool can have it's own set of metrics.
