Start in your layered map. Depending on which tool you're using, you'll go to that tool's instructions below.

For Boundaries: In the Boundary Tool scroll down to where the boundary you have on the map is listed. Click on the gear.

A dialog box will then open. In the center, right you'll see some check boxes. Check Ignore Filters, then click save. Checking Ignore Filters allows you to filter your markers without effecting the boundaries.

For Heat Maps: In the Heat Map Tool, scroll down to find the heat map listed in the Heat Map Tool. Scroll down until you see the check boxes. Check Unlink from Other Tools. That's it!

Next head to the Grouping Tool or Filter Tool, your choice.

Grouping Tool: In the Grouping Tool you'll find your map grouped by Map Layer. This is a column created by the layering functionality. Simply check the box next to the map whose markers you want to see.

Filter Tool: In the filter tool you'll see the filter already set up. Click on the filter option listed, then simply check the box next to the map whose markers you want to show.

Last Step: The filtered view doesn't save automatically. The filters set and everything you did will save automatically but any filters will reset should you leave or refresh your page. You can save the filter view by saving a map view. You can find that tutorial here: MaptiveIQ - Save A Map View
