MaptiveIQ - How to Set Shared Map Privacy Settings

This tutorial will show you how to set the privacy for your Shared or Embedded map in Maptive.

Steps to set the privacy for your Shared Map in Maptive:

Step 1: Open your map.

Step 2: Click on the Share button found on the left-hand side of your map:

After you click share, you'll see the following:

A: Would be for team sharing. Please see Team Sharing Tutorial for more information.

B: Is for sharing your map with unlicensed users. These users do not need a login and will not be able to make permanent edits to the map.

Once you've clicked Share Externally (B) You'll see the following options.

Step 3: Allows you to password protect your shared map. The shared map can have only one password. If sharing with multiple people they would all get the same password. You can simply change the password to lock everyone out of the map.

Step 4: Public, doesn't mean public. No one is googling and finding your map in Maptive. It simply means anyone with the link to the map can view the map.

Don't forget to Customize Your Shared Map before you share it.
