MaptiveIQ - Categorize Data (Match up your data)
Matching Up Your Location Data and Customizing Your Map Popups Tutorial:
When you go through the steps to create your map with Maptive, you may be asked to verify that our software has matched the relevant location data columns in your data set to the correct location category. This step is required for your data to map correctly on the map. If you don't see this step it is because we think we got the correct match. Should your map look wrong you can always change the settings by opening the popup again here.
Your dataset MUST include header columns (such as Address, City, Zip code, Name, Phone Number, etc.) that tell Maptive what the data is in each of the Map columns. Our program will do it's best to automatically match your address data columns with the correct categories.
You'll see something like this:

In Section 1: Only address information should be matched. Location name or phone number should never be matched within section 1.
In Section 2:
- Location Name/Title is what you will see when you hover over your markers and at the top of the marker popout.
- Website URL should only be matched to a column that contains a full web address (i.e. https://www.maptive.com)
- Image URL Column should only be matched to a column with a link.
- Email Address Column should only be matched to a column with a single email address in it.
- Phone number should only match to a column with a single phone number in it.
You can manually change any that are mis-matched, it happens to the best of us, by using the pull down arrow. Clicking the arrow will show you all the columns in your data so you can choose your correct columns.
Click Done for the geocoding process to begin.
