How to use the Grouping Tool
Grouping Tool Tutorial:
The grouping tool allows you to group and display by any column of your data so that each group shows up on the map with different color markers. You can also group your data by numerical value ranges so that each range shows up with a different color and size marker. Just follow these steps to use the tool:
Step 1: Open Map Tools.

Step 2: Select the Grouping Tool / Colored Pins Tool.

Step 3: Select the column in your data set that you want to "group by" and display it as different colored markers on the map.

Your selection will be listed as Primary Group and you'll be able to see your data grouped and represented with colored pins on the Map. You can customize your markers to the color and style you would like by clicking the small white icon just to the right of each group in the grouping tool.

Setp 4: If you want to group by numerical ranges for a column of your data that contains numbers, select 'Numeric' as shown below. The column can be switched to number ranges if there are over 500 different numbers in your data.

This will bring up a popup that lets you customize the ranges, select how many groups you want, group by percentages or number ranges, choose between different marker options - standard Blue bubble markers, Multi color bubbles, or Growing pin markers - all with the option to modify the fill color for each range.

Step 5: Click on 'Group Now' to generate the colored groups on the Map.
This is how a numeric range group for a column like 'Sales' might look like when grouped into 10 using Multi-color bubble markers.

You can also choose a Secondary group to display along with your Primary group colored markers.
Step 6: Select the other column in your data set that you also want to "group by" and display it as a secondary colored marker group on the map.

In the visual below, the data is grouped by Primary and Secondary groups, where the 'sales' column data is grouped into 4 using Blue bubble markers :

Please note: The secondary grouping can be better for numeric data as it uses the bubble markers that show the magnitude or range of those numerical values.
You can also select/deselect primary and secondary groups at a time to view specific grouped pin data as per your needs for insights, comparisons, and display.
