Distance Calculator Tool

Using the Distance Calculator Tool in Maptive is incredibly easy. Just follow the steps outlined in this tutorial.

Step 1: Click on the Distance Calculator Tool icon on the right-hand side of the screen.

A dialogue box will appear where you can choose between 2 straight-line distance measurement options:

A. The Single Point Distance Measurement - measure the distance between two points on your map.

B. The Multiple Point Distance Measurement - measure the distance between more than two points on your map. Or measure the size of an area.

To use the Single Point Distance Calculator Tool, follow these steps:

Step 1: Select the Single Point Distance Measurement button (marked 'a' in the visual above). 

Step 2: Click the first location on your map, then click the second point on your map.

Your measurement will stop at this point, and you will have access to your cursor arrow again and can see the distances measured between the two points you marked.

You can delete the line by clicking the X at the end of the distance line you created.

To use the Multiple Point Distance Calculator Tool, follow these steps:

Step 1: Select the Multiple Point Distance Calculator button (marked 'b' in the Step above). 

Step 2: Click the first location on your map, then continue clicking additional points on your map. 

Step 3: To stop distance measurement, click the Multiple Point Distance Calculator icon. Or close the polygon.

You will then have access to your cursor arrow again and can see the distances measured between each point you marked. You can delete the dotted line by clicking the X at the end of the distance line you created.
