MaptiveIQ - Customizing Map Search

How to customize the map search options:

In Maptive, you have the option to customize the search on your maps. The settings you choose will affect your map as well as your shared map.

Step 1: Click on the magnifying glass icon on the upper right side of the map screen.

Once clicked, the search bar appears at the top center of your map.

Step 2: Click on the button to the left of it to see a drop-down menu with options to choose for your Search. Select the option that best suits your map data search.

Step 3: Next, click on the button to the right to access the Search Settings. This opens a dialogue box with more search options to choose from.

Step 4: Once clicked, you'll see the following dialog box appear to select search matching behavior:

Options:

Only show search matches on my map: When doing a search all markers that do not match the search will be hidden from the map

Highlight matching markers: When doing a search all markers that match will receive an additional blue indicator that shows that they match the search.

Zoom in on Map to Search Matches: After the search is complete the map will zoom into the search results

Only Match on exact word matches: When selected a field would need to exactly match your search. For instance if you name was "John Doe" you would need to search for "John Doe". "John" or "Doe" would not match

To Exit the Map Search after your search is complete, you can click the X or click on the Search icon in the top right corner again to turn off the feature.
